People link events. Events link people.

Link outside the pull of algorithms, influencer marketing, and the monoculture.

FAQ

What Is Ivy?

Ivy is a map of what's happening in NYC. It pulls events from around the city into one place and shows you what other people are linking to. It's free, and it's NYC only for now.

How Does It Work?

Browse events by neighborhood, by type, or by who has linked them. When you see something you want to go to, tap Link This. It goes on your profile, and other people can find it through you.

What Are Links?

A link connects you to an event. Link one and it shows up on your profile and on the event's graph, so other people can find it. Tap again to unlink.

A link isn't a ticket or an RSVP. You still sign up on the event's own page.

What Are Profiles?

When you sign up, Ivy gives you a random display name, like Quiet-Otter-4821. Your profile is the list of events you've linked. There are no likes, no follower counts, no feed.

Who Can See My Name?

Your display name shows on the events you link. Anyone who opens an event page can see it, signed in or not. Your email is never shown.

To hide yourself from an event, open your List on your profile and switch Hidden on for it. You still count toward the total.

A display name is a pseudonym. If you tell people which events you went to, they can match you to it.

What Are The Different Views?

Heatmap. Events grouped by neighborhood. The more links an event has, the bigger and darker green its tile gets. It's a quick read on where things are happening.

List. Events in order. Filter by date and event type.

Network. Three views: events in a neighborhood, events by type, and events with the people linked to them.

The map opens on the next 7 days. Change the date filter to look further out.

Where Do The Events Come From?

Ivy collects public listings from sites like Luma, Partiful and DICE, from a few New York venues and bookstores, and from events added by hand. Each event links back to where it came from. Ivy doesn't sell tickets or run the events.

How Often Does It Update?

Events are refreshed from their sources regularly, and the map shows when it last updated. Dates and details can change after we collect them, so check the event's page before you go.

Why Are Some Events Missing?

Every listing gets checked before it goes up. Private events, events outside New York, cancelled ones, duplicates, and anything missing a date or link are left out. If you know of one that should be there, send it in (see below).

Do I Need An Account?

No. Anyone can look at the map. To link events you sign in with Google or email. You need to be 18 or older.

Can I Add An Event?

If you have one that isn't on Ivy, email hello@ivylink.co with the event and a link and we'll get it up.

Something Is Wrong, Or I Want An Event Taken Down

Email hello@ivylink.co with the event name and a link, and say what's wrong. If you run the event or made the image and want it changed or removed, say that too.

How Do I Delete My Account?

Open Settings and choose Delete Account. That removes your account, display name and links.

Why Ivy?

I like how ivy looks growing up a building. The app grows the same way, one link at a time. More on the inspiration here.
